It also means, that there is a group of engineers and technicians, research specialists and laserists sitting in Balingen/Germany, who spend most of their living time on the dedicated love to laser lights. MediaLas GmbH Germany was founded in 1989 by it´s President, Dirk Baur. MediaLas is one of the leading manufacturers of laser components, tools, software for entertainment and industrial use in the world, and has more than once set the pace for new products and fresh innovations. Many state-of-the-art laser technology applications, developments, and best practices created by MediaLas have been adopted by other laser companies.

With a staff of 12 engineers, technicians, and professionals and in-house production facilities, including SMT mounting, MediaLas offers short-term and extended capabilities for customer demand and market needs. As a certified training and education establishment, MediaLas also provides laser safety training and lessons. More than 1200 professional users have passed our laser safety training.

The MediaLas facilities in Balingen offer more than 1100 sqm (more than 10,000 sqft) of workshops, offices and storage. The large and fully equipped 300 sqm demo room offers lights, sound and lasers, and is able to simulate all kinds of venues from discotheques to event stages. Our workshops are equipped with the latest digital technology and tools as well as CNC-aided machinery.

Over the years we have sold more than 20,000 laser units, and more than 1,500 users worldwide use Mamba Black laser software. MediaLas exports to more than 50 countries and 500+ white light show systems in various sizes impress audiences worldwide. MediaLas has received numerous industrial awards for best product idea, best technology, or best of show. 6000+ galvo systems are working daily in worldwide installations.

MediaLas owns many trade marks, patents and copyrights. Well known institutes, companies and universities use our know how for their daily job. More and more ferries and cruise ships sail with Mystiqe and Infinity projectors inside for their guest entertainment.

1998: MediaLas officially starts business and takes over es-Lasersystems. ILDA Award for CATWEAZLE LC II galvo system Dirk Baur          is elected to Board of Directors of ILDA
1999: Presentation of a software based SMS-to-Laser application Introduction of real time video tracing system VST-1
         ILDA Award for VST-1 Pangolin award for "Strip", a graphics laser show based on VST-1 sequences.
2000: Start of development for Avatar LCC Console Hosting of ILDA conference in Stuttgart, in cooperation with Lobo.
2001: Further development of LaserPainter software suite.
2002: First sneak presentation of Avatar LCC Console.
2003: ILDA Award for Avatar LCC Console. On Frankfurt´s Pro Light & Sound, MediaLas offers first commercially available air cooled
         RGB white light laser to an astonished audience. First version with a total power of 500mW. DMX controlled laser projector
         "SpookyBlue" announced and presented. First announcement of DMX controlled laser projector "SpiderGeek".
2004: SpookyBlue enters the market in Version 2. New laser show software "Mamba 2004" hits the market and becomes the top
         seller within shortest time. Air cooled white light projector and laser with 1.5W introduced. Mamba Black, as a professional
         version of Mamba 2004, is presented to the audience
2005: Introduction of Tweety moving head laser projector. Enhanced air cooled RGB systems "Mystiqe" introduced, with tremendous
         features. Tweety and Mystiqe are nominated for Showtech Awards Dirk Baur becomes President of ILDA
2006: Mamba reaches four-digit sales numbers. OEM licenses are offered. Mystiqe series increased to 4W total laser power.
2007: Two ILDA Awards for Mamba Lasershows. Patent pending for new electronic convergence adjustment of RGB systems.
         New trade mark registrations. Patent pending for new high power laser device.
2008: New innovative Showlaser system Infinity introduced. Two ILDA Tech Awards for innovative technology
